ABOUT
Jennifer North-Claveau
Jennifer was a touring musician, lead singer-songwriter of the duo Likewater, performing festivals with her band in the late 1990's until 2013. She released an album in 2004 called "Weightless" and shortly after began pursuing the business side of music. She helped launch various events, including the long-running open stage called Groovy Mondays at Holy Joe's. She helped launch the Toronto City Roots Song Celebration in 2004. An avid supporter of music and songwriters in Toronto, Jennifer continued to work exclusively with emerging artists in a business capacity through her PR company called SPEAK Music.

In 2007, she left the music industry as a performer, sold the PR business and went back to school to learn accounting. In 2010 she opened North Accounting Services which later became Umbrella Bookkeeping Solutions. For more than a decade, she helped musicians, non-profit arts organizations and small businesses from a wide range of industries with business management and tax services.
While she ran her accounting business, she maintained her creativity and artistry through painting and launched her Box of Paints Studio and operated The Green Forest Gallery in Muskoka. In 2024, she completed her art history degree at York University and is now continuing to pursue her Masters Degree in Environmental Studies. She has recently returned to the music industry to help her partner Ian North with his new music releases. She has most recently joined forces with her long-time friend and music business colleague, Lisa Millar. Their goal is to create new business opportunities to help talented songwriters make a viable income from their music.
